Nasi campur - Mixed Rice

After 10 years in Malaysia, I started to enjoy the Malay dishes. One of my favorite food is "Nasi campur" - mixed rice (commonly refers to a dish of a scoop of white rice accompanied by small portions of a number of other dishes such as meat, vegetables, peanuts, curries, soup, eggs) especially served during lunch time.

I also enjoy cooking my own "nasi campur" - mixed rice at home, mostly referring to recipe books or youtube videos recipes. Other than that, I love to eat in restaurants with menus which I cannot prepare easily at home.

However, when cooking at home, the downside is that you have more food wastes, budgets and so on...but if you go to a "nasi campur" restaurant there you could enjoy more types of vegetables, various types of curries/soups, meat baked/boiled/barbecue/fried and many more dishes.

Some of the famous "nasi campur" restaurants that I have visited are Top D'Gurun and Bawal Goreng Panas.
