Ramadan month already started in Malaysia, since 6 June 2016 and will end on 6 July 2016 Eid Fitr (Hari Raya Aidilfitri).
During Ramadan, Muslims restaurants are closed till the afternoon, and will open again normally for breaking fast till till early morning.
In afternoon the food bazaars specially organised for in the month of Ramadan are also available. It is a nice atmosphere, to go to to the bazaars. The bazaars are normally very crowded and it is very hard to move to see the various selection of food. Lack of parking space would also pose a problem for those wanting to stop at the bazaars.
The fasting starts from dawn until sunset, and the Muslims observe it by refraining themselves from consuming food, drinking, smoking and engaging in sexual relations.
During Ramadan the Muslims dedicate mostly in increase prayers and recitation of the Quran.
In Malaysia, some restaurants still open such as the Chinese, Indian (non-muslim) and all fast food restaurants.
Happy Fasting 2016! Selamat berpuasa 2016!
